Today - February 23th ...

In 1874, Major Walter Wingford patented a new game called sphairistike. This was named after an ancient Greek ball game. Wingfield gave this game a more descriptive nickname of Lawn Tennis. Lawn Tennis is played on a indoor court and therefore was renamed Real Tennis.

On this day in 1893, Rudolf Diesel patented the diesel engine. Also Samuel Pepys was born in 1633.

Ho Yo Silver

Memories from the past, this was a TV show I never missed. The Masked man was played by Clayton Moore .

Tonto was his sidekick played by Jay Silverheels .

It all started as a Radio Program in 1933.

I do not think I ever miss a episode when it began on TV in the UK. It was the bees knees and I would go out of my way to make it back home in time to watch it.

You can listen to the Theme of the Lone ranger here.. Just press the Play button on the radio.

You will find some facts about Silver Here.

The picture shows all three of the stars of a great TV series, remember TV was new, but this was a classic.

Anyway, back to last night ...... the husband says that they cannot take their big wall clock?

The wife asks why?
